MAIN OBJECTIVE
The main objective of the RE-ELECTRO 4 LIFE project is to implement a RE-USE business model based on a closed loop economy for the reuse of recovered parts from waste electrical and electronic equipment, using dismantled refrigeration and air conditioning equipment as an example. The marketing of spare parts for equipment will result in an extension of the life of existing equipment, reducing waste production and the need to purchase new equipment.
Project location: Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia
Budget Total € 3,642,376
% EU funding 60% € 2,185,425
Duration: 01.09.2023 – 28.02.2026
Project consortium – coordinator: PROZON Foundation for Climate Protection beneficiaries: K-NET, EKOTEZ, Wrocław University of Technology
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
- increase in the number of spare parts available on the market;
- creation of prototypes for the diagnosis of components of refrigeration and air-conditioning equipment;
- implementation of a product distribution network;
- expansion of the selective waste collection network;
- increase in environmental awareness of the closed-loop economy, second life and reuse among project stakeholders.
RE-ELECTRO PROCESSING PLANT
Currently, a number of activities are being carried out in the project regarding the adaptation of the hall dedicated to the waste equipment processing plant.
A mezzanine has been installed, which will allow for ergonomic use of the space of the high hall. This will also separate the demolition sites from the diagnostic technology.
At the beginning of 2025, vertical, closed automatic storage racks were also installed, which are designed for the storage of spare parts. Access from level 0 and level 1 (on the mezzanine) has been planned.
RE-ELECTRO DIAGNOSTICS
The first station for diagnostics of various types of parts, (compressors, capacitors) was created. Our specialists have designed a universal device that will be easy to replicate. This also gives the opportunity to retool the station to handle parts from other sectors.
LOGISTICS
We are also prepared to continuously collect electronic waste from the Polish market. We provide full logistics and free collection of equipment from our country. And modern office spaces allow for pleasant and ergonomic customer service.
PROMOTION AND COMMUNICATION
We have also had a number of meetings with all those who are interested in circular economy, re-use processes or green projects that have a wide impact on waste management.
